Camilo Villegas shot four consecutive rounds in the 60s, including a final-round 2-under 68 to win the Honda Classic by five shots for his third career PGA TOUR title. Camilo finished at 13-under 267, the lowest 72-hole score since the event moved to PGA National in 2007, and four shots better than the winning total a year ago.
Camilo didn’t even play a practice round at PGA National this week. After finishing tied for eighth at last week’s Phoenix Open, Villegas headed back to his native Colombia on Monday for a sponsor dinner, youth clinic and pre-tournament party to help open the Nationwide Tour’s Pacific Rubiales Bogota Open, the first PGA Tour-sanctioned event in South America.

Cobra Brand Ambassador Ian Poulter captured his second win with new ZL driver and the biggest victory of his career, defeating Paul Casey, 4 and 2, in an all-England final at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. Along with winning his first World Golf Championship, the 34-year-old Poulter won for the first time on American soil. Poulter was so dominant on the weekend that he trailed for only one hole over the final 50 holes of the tournament.

Carlsbad, California (December 8, 2008) – Cobra Brand Ambassador Geoff Ogilvy captured The Cadbury Schweppes Australian PGA Championship on Sunday, closing with a 3-under 69 for a two-stroke victory.
Ogilvy took the lead on the par-5 15th hole at the Hyatt Regency Resort Course in Coolum and then pressed his advantage on the very next hole with a nine-iron approach to within one foot for a kick-in birdie. Ogilvy then came home in textbook fashion, striking a perfect drive followed by a solid approach to the 18th green and a tap-in for par that gave him a winning total of 14-under par 274.
For the 2006 U.S. Open champion and native Australian, this was his first win on the Australasian Tour. It was the second win for Ogilvy this season, his first victory coming in March at the WGC – CA Championship.
Among the equipment trusted by Ogilvy for his success is the King Cobra Speed Pro D driver, X Speed (13.0) Fairway Metal, Pro MB (3-9) Irons and a Pro CB 2-iron.
The Australasian Tour wraps up the 2008 season this week at Royal Sydney, where Ogilvy will be one of the favorites to claim the “third jewel” in the Triple Crown of Australian golf, The Australian Open.
A powerful performance from a powerful player – and business as usual for a brand focused on developing innovative, high performance golf clubs.

Jason Gore, hitting his Cobra Pro CB 4 iron, was left with only 220 yards to the green for his second on the par 5 ninth that plays 563 yards during Tuesday’s practice round. It’s accurate drives like those, 343 yards, that rank Gore first on the PGA Tour in Total Driving.
