Camilo wins the Coca-Cola Tokai Classic
October 1st, 2007

Camilo powers to breakthrough win with Cobra.
After an impressive run in September including three top-ten finishes in the FedEx Cup events, Cobra ambassador Camilo Villegas achieved his first professional victory at the Coca-Cola Tokai Classic in Japan. In the final round Camilo shot a level par of 71 to finish tied at two-under 282 and face a playoff. A second hole birdie, holed from twenty feet clinched the title.
Camilo, who switched to Cobra for his first full season on the PGA Tour in 2006, relied on Cobra technology from tee to green. In the bag he had a King Cobra Speed Pro S driver, King Cobra X-Speed fairway metals, a King Cobra Carbon CB three iron and King Cobra forged CB irons (4-P).
With the victory, the 25-year-old Columbian is elevated into the elite group of the world’s top 60 players alongside Cobra players Geoff Ogilvy and Ian Poulter.

When is Camilo playing next? It will be interesting to see how much hotter he gets … and I mean his golf game …

Camilo will be playing next on Nov. 12-13 at the Wendy’s 3 Tour Challenge in Las Vegas. Let’s hope he keeps his hot streak alive.

Congratulations to Camilo!!! He definitely was on a roll in the PGA championship games. He is a truly a class act. Recently, while talking with my husband, I questioned why golfers don’t comment on the teamwork with their caddy. Right after I said that, we watched an interview with Camilo and he acknowledged the teamwork with his caddy!
Thanks for keeping us posted on his impressive win!

P.S. I just started playing golf and I’m using my late father-in-law’s Cobra clubs and I’m loving it. He would have loved those great commercials you all have done with David Feherty! Looking forward to more of them.

I find it interesting that Camilo has played UST for all of last year and now has switched over to a way more high end higher launch and much lower spin Matrix line….
