Great site, I check it weekly, fantastic.
I currently play Titleist 905R V2 75gm X-Stiff 9.5 and it currently launches at 8-10.5 degrees, swing speed is 105-110mph. I have been looking at switching to the Cobra Pro S but cannot determine which loft to go with. Would you recommend going to the 10.5 and stiff shaft for that swing speed or staying at 9.5 Stiff. Also is the V2 available as a custom in the S. As you can appreciate, in Australia it is hard to try different lofts and shafts and all the retail outlets only have 9.5 in the cobra pro range.
Cheers.

I play a cobra X speed. I was wondering if the Cobra X Speed XV was ever introduced to the public or is it the same club? I also see alot about cobra X Speed XGB. what exactly is it?

I have about the same swing speed and lanch angles as you. I have a pro S in 9.5 with the 85 G Proforce V2 Shaft. The tragertory is more penetrating and has a lot less spin. According to my doplar radar I spin the ball at 2900 rpm at 113MPH swing speed. I drive that about 320-340 Yards. I also have it in the 65 G shaft wich I generate 6 more MPH, but I get 4300 rpms on the ball and drive at 300 yards. (This is close to what Camilo hits, but I feel that his prototype shaft has low spin). The stock 65G Proforce V2 shaft generates alot more spin.

The Cobra X Speed XV and XGB were never introduced to the public. They were prototypes made for the Cobra PGA Tour staff players.

Nick,
Although the XV and XGB weren’t released, they were prototypes for future Cobra products. The XV is the prototype for the Speed Pro D driver, and the XGB helped in the design the Speed Pro fairway line.
