i noticed J.B. has a carbon CB iron in with his forged CB’s…which iron is it?

Carbon CB is a gap wedge that JB uses as a sand wedge.

What shaft is in his driver? Accra SE? Is that a custom option or a tour only option?

admin wrote on 2007-03-09 09:00:11

The shaft is a stock Accra SC80 M5.

Do any tour pros use standard clubs, like the new LD-F?

None of the Tour pros use the LD F. Most of the Cobra Tour Pros use the Speed Pro S or D.

What is the MOI of Speed Pro S vs. Speed Pro D ?
Is there reason why J.B prefers the D ?

Rog wrote on 2007-03-18 21:53:50

Kenzo-MOI in Speed Pro S is 4900 vs 4500 in Speed Pro D. I would imagine the lower spin rate produced from the deeper face of the D would fit J.B. a little better

I just got a Speed Pro D in X flex VS Proto w/9.5* loft. I seem to be getting it a bit too high even with a low spin ball. Should I try a lower loft first? or a lower ball flight shaft like a Aldila protopype? Swing speed is around 113 mph.

Try both to see which launch condition you prefer.

So whats the difference between the Speed Pro S and the D? I know it means shallow and deep, but what does that mean, and which club should I buy?

I noticed that JB plays a Baffler Pro 3/R and his irons start at 3 iron, and Kevin Na plays a Baffler Pro 4/R and his irons start at 4 iron. Are their Baffler’s bent to a stronger loft? Are the Bafflers much longer compared to the same lofts in irons? Thanks, and great blog.
